mushy

Cropped, un-cropped, and alternate-color back cover of
Bogwitch No. 1

I decided to crop this image when I actually printed up the first issue of Bogwitch, I guess I felt the bottom part of the image to be too big of a mess. I'm not sure what I was trying to do with the pink version and some of the coloring, I guess the bottom of the image just seemed like such a black hole for the eye I was trying to break that up a bit, and then gave up and cropped it.

Skull #5

So I thought I was going to submit this to Robert Goodin's Covered blog, like every other cartoonist, but have changed my mind. I wasn't exactly happy with the retooling I did to try and make it my own, and I feel the original Spain artwork is pretty aligned with my style, which kind of goes against the spirit of the blog. I have some other stuff in mind I'm going to try and cover, hopefully one of those will work out better. Here's some of my favorites from the Covered blog by the way: 1 2 3 4 5

Crapola

The Dorkin.

Evan Dorkin did some illustration work for the book and later the film adaptation of "I Love You Beth Cooper." The drawings above are all the characters from the book, including one female with a peculiar name. Tee Hee. Tee Hee.

Also, I found some random issues of Hectic Planet at my local comic shop not too long ago, the Dorkin rules.

Evan has a really terrifying interview at www.inkstuds.com, and he has a new miniseries he's writing and Jill Thompson is drawing called "Beasts of Burden," through Dark Horse.

Flyers

Most of you that actually look at this blog have probably seen these already, but should I deny the blog-o-verse? I probably won't be posting anything new until the end of the month, new surprises on the way hey-hey.
